COVID-19 Protocols and Procedures

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, Expedition Acupuncture will have new protocols for treatments and the clinic. Please note these changes are precautions to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission, but in no way eliminate the risk completely. What follows is my updated operations to help with patient safety:

Pre-Appointment Screen

The day before your appointment I will be reaching out to ask you the following questions:

  1. Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?

  2. Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath?

  3. Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, we will reschedule or cancel your appointment without the usual cancellation fee.

Masks & Temperature

I am fully vaccinated, but will still be wearing a mask for the entirety of the visit. Patients, regardless of vaccination status will also be required to wear a mask upon arrival and throughout the visit.

I have added an infrared no touch thermometer to the clinic; your temperature will be checked before the appointment begins. If your temperature is at or above 100°, we will need to reschedule your appointment for a later date.

Waiting Room/Office

The following are steps that are always taken during and in between treatments:

  • Hand sanitizer will be made available to all patients upon entering the office.

  • A HEPA air purifier is used in the treatment room as an added precaution.

  • Treatment table, chairs, surfaces, and door handles are always sanitized between each patient.

Cancellations

Please let me know as soon as possible if your appointment needs to be rescheduled or cancelled due to COVID concerns. There will be no penalty for day-of cancellations due to COVID concerns.
